In addition, there will be other events in the Charlotte area where fans can do things such as watch players practice, watch celebrities who play basketball compete in a charity game, and more. The NBA D-League also gets some attention in the form on the Dream Factory events plus their own All-Star game held at a different offsite location.
A big part of the festivities are parties, including kickoff and closing parties. These are held all over the town, though not all of them are official or sanctioned by the NBA.
