The Best Financially Reported Movies Of 2017, Detailed By Robert Jain

By Jason McDonald

While 2018 shows promise in the world of multimedia, one cannot forget the contributions made last year. This is especially true in movies, as there have been numerous films that came out and ended up making considerable money. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't be far-fetched to call them financially successful. Which ones rank the highest, you may wonder? Here are the names that Robert Jain can tell you about.

Despicable Me 3 - Grossing $264.62 million at the box office, according to IMDB, the third film in the Despicable Me series stands as one of the most profitable films of 2017. This film builds upon the main character, Gru, as he's met by his brother. While it can be argued that this movie isn't to everyone's tastes, it had enough charm to be financially successful. In terms of overall financial success, this film stands out and names such as Bob Jain will say the same.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - The sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy, which was one of the most popular superhero movies in recent memory, grossed $389.81 million. It's easy to see why Vol. 2 did so well, as the first movie was a hit among viewers. This sequel built upon what the first movie established, adding new characters and storylines along the way. Keep in mind, though, that this was just one of many Marvel movies that performed well in 2017.

Beauty and the Beast - Disney has seen a number of financial successes on the movie front, which brings us to Beauty and the Beast. This was one of the many movies of 2017 that had people talking, and for good reason. It was a remake of an animated movie that is beloved to this day. It was also one of the movies of the year that made the most money, ultimately grossing $504.01 million. Needless to say, this is no small accomplishment.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi - The final movie on this list is also the most financially successful of 2017. The latest Star Wars movie, at that time, grossed a staggering $1.31 billion as of late January. When Disney started releasing new Star Wars movies a few years ago, many fans were hesitant to begin with. However, as these movies have proven to range anywhere from good to excellent, it should come as no surprise that they would see numbers like the one provided earlier.
