Debunking Common Myths Concerning Conception

By Gary Taylor

Coupes and women trying to conceive have been known to do the weirdest things. Some of the stories told boarder fiction but surprisingly, they are true. Some of the myths Concerning Conception are based on misinformation and only lead to greater frustrations. To build realistic expectations, here are some of the common myths that have been confirmed to be falsehood and not based on any fact.

Those bedroom gymnastics will only hurt your back or cause shameful injuries. Raised feet thirty minutes after sex and head stands do not aid conception at all. In fact, you are only advised to stay still in bed for a few minutes to allow the body to retain more sperms. Do not cause your spouse to perform acrobatics during sex because it will only tire you up.

Daily sex does not make a man more potent. A couple, and especially the woman, should understand her fertility cycle in order to engage in sex when it is necessary. Unfortunately, science confirms that ejaculating on daily basis will only reduce your sperm percentage, concentration and count. This makes your semen less effective. The best timing is six days before ovulation because a woman will be most fertile.

Withdrawal is not a guarantee of failed conception. Strong advocates like Planned Parenthood have data that suggests that 4 in 100 of those who tried the method willingly got pregnant. Further, 21 in 100 of those who innocently applied the method still got pregnant. Pre-ejaculation fluid contains a significant number of sperms that can cause pregnancy.

Is it possible to influence the sex of your baby during sex? The truth is that this is a matter of chance. The story doing rounds is that timing particular days for sex, facing north or adapting particular sex positions will result in a boy. For a girl, sex during full moon and missionary position are said to be the silver bullet. All these are myths with no basis. The only way to raise possibility by a single percent is taking more calories with high concentration of potassium, calcium, Vitamins B12, C and E to get a boy.

Organism is not mandatory for you to conceive. Female orgasm is good for sexual satisfaction. In fact, it has been attributed to a higher rate of sperm retention. The contracting muscles are said to carry sperms upward and increase the chances of pregnancy. However, even without orgasm, conception is still possible because sperms are built to naturally swim and the egg will still be released anyway.

A cooler jet will not make you pregnant. Ironically, scientists advice men to keep their balls cool. This means avoiding the sauna, hot baths and hot tubs. However, this only shows results when you sustain the cooling for two months. You, therefore, do not require cooling in between sex sessions to make your man more fertile. This will only waste your precious time.

Couples and individuals take different steps and actions to conceive but it must be noted that the situation is unique to each individual. Consult a reproductive health specialist to establish why you are finding it difficult to conceive and propose the best solution. Above all, you must avoid any action that will compromise your health.
